Provide details here. Do not change the blocking bug.
Previously, systemd required services to have .service appended in systemctl
commands;
$ sudo systemctl restart myservice
$ Failed to issue method call: Unit name myservice is not valid.
-bash: Failed: command not found
$ sudo systemctl restart myservice.service
[okay]
Starting with F18, if there is no dot suffix, systemctl will assume you meant a
service and just work.
This should go in the release notes, because it's a common end-user complaint
about the systemctl user interface.

Summary: add compiz installation instructions back to Desktop

ReportedBy: kwade(a)redhat.com

Currently, the compiz package needs to be installed. The instruction was
mistakenly removed from the Docs/Beats/Desktop page. Fortunately, the string is
untranslateable (being a command), so perhaps we can slip it back in to Desktop.xml:
<listitem>
<para>
<command>su -c 'yum install compiz'</command>
</para>
</listitem>
However, the package may get added in for default:
<f13> mether: we may add compiz by default in the gnome group. Trying to get an
ack from the gnome folks.
Cc:ing all the folks here to let us know what happens with that; set to block
the FC6 notes so's not to get forgotten.

Release notes from
http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/release-notes/fc5/release-notes-ISO/#id3092710
Section 8.6 Preparing for Kernel Development
tell me:
Prepare the kernel sources using the commands:
cd ~/rpmbuild/SPECS
rpmbuild -bp --target $(uname -m) kernel-2.6.spec
The kernel source tree is located in the
${HOME}/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-<version>/ directory.
This is not correct for FC5; when following the procedure the directory
.../BUILD/kernel-<version>/ contains:
# ls -p rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-2.6.17/
Config.mk linux-2.6.17.i686/ vanilla/ xen/ xen-20060708/
So I assume the kernel "sources" of a version I want to build myself are in one
these subdirectories, but this is different from the current wording of the
release notes.
The box a few lines above "Do Not Build Packages as Super-user" has the
directory (almost) correct:
~/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-<version>/linux-<version>

--- Comment #5 from Kamil Páral <kparal(a)redhat.com> ---
I believe CANTFIX resolution is more appropriate, it says that even though we
documented the issue, it still persists and we can't really do much about it.
(Otherwise someone could see just the "closed fixed" status and assume this has
been fixed somehow). Changing resolution and also component back to ntfs-3g.
However, I believe there could be ways to improve the situation. We could
detect whether Win 8 is present on the computer, and if we mount NTFS partition
in such case, we could force chkdsk to be run on the next Windows boot. That
would make sure user data are not lost. The question is whether we can do this
only if fast-restart feature is turned on (whether we can detect that somehow),
otherwise this solution could be a bit annoying.
Another solution is that the installer could try to disable fast-restart
feature if it detects Win 8 (again, if this is possible at all).
These are wild guesses, I'm not the expert here.
