Hi, Ruby-sig folks
Now Rails 5.0.0.rc2 has been released, the stable version coming soon. So, I have created the Rails 5.0 proposal page, including the estimate of the tasks to create the package.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Ruby_on_Rails_5.0
Feel free to ask me if there is something.
Thanks.
Jun Aruga
Thanks for that Jun,
I just noticed that there is reference to "openshift-origin-broker and rubygem-openshift-origin*". I don't think it is relevant anymore.
BTW Františku, how does it look with rOCCI?

At least rOCCI client looks good (rubygem-occi-core depends on active* gems), unit-tests are OK.
But rOCCI-server would probably need some updates. Attaching the log from my hacky half-package/half-bundler environment.
Is there documentation about known incompatibilities/upgrade steps between rails 4.2 and rails 5?
Thanks, František

Hi,
Vit, thanks for your information. I have included the Rails 5.0 release page on the bottom of the wiki.
Guys, I have changed below wiki's status (category) from ChangePageIncomplete to ChangeReadyForWrangler. This is the process of the proposal.

See below page for detail. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:ChangeReadyForWrangler

Although we are not 100% complete yet (there is missing updated turbolinks, uglifier and spring, possibly Puma) we have the basic set of Rails libraries ready and since the deadlines are approaching, I am going to build RoR5 in Rawhide. Apologies for breakages which might appear. We will try to polish them as fast as possible.

There will be needed some patience also with rOCCI-server in rawhide.
rOCCI-server is API-only application - using rails-api gem, which has been merged into rails 5.0. There are probably no big issues with updating rOCCI-server for rails 5, but my own attempts for updating has been unsuccessful so far.
Good news are upstream is interrested in rails 5 and plans to update rOCCI-server soon.

Ruby on Rails 5.0 are now in F25+. There are still missing some pieces of asset pipeline but we are working on that. Uglifier is already in Rawhide, waiting for update of uglify-js on F25, I am finishing turbolinks right now ...
