I don't know if this has been proposed before but have we offered to help ruby-core and the ruby community to work on "official" ruby rpms? If we could drive what is in the official rpm, I'd imagine it would be less maintenance work to modify the upstream source for our own packages.
Thanks,

Thanks,
If ruby-core reach Fedora seeking for help with packaging Ruby, I'll be glad to help. But I can't see benefit of upstream RPMs, since upstream RPMs will be necessary based on different assumptions/preconditions then Fedora RPMs, so it does not make sense to offer any help.
