Hello everybody,
My name is Daniel Gonçalves, I'm from Lyon (France), and I want to join the Fedora community and especially the rust SIG.
I'm an IT professional since 11 years and GNU/Linux user since many more. I have some skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, and I'm interested to learn Rust.
Best regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel, and welcome!
Are you interested in the packaging aspects of getting Rust libraries and programs into Fedora? Or more in the Rust language itself?
The SIG here is mostly concerned with packaging, and actual Rust development happens in the various upstream projects. There are a few Fedora-specific projects written in Rust, but those too are mostly separate from this list.
Hi Josh, thank you!
I want to be helpful to both Rust and Fedora. I expect to get involved to Rust community later, but one thing at a time and helping Fedora is the current priority. So I may help in packaging Rust libraries and/or developing some packaging tools (I discovered the rust2rpm repository).

I suggest joining IRC to coordinate on rust2rpm and packaging: libera.chat #fedora-rust
