Hi,
I’m trying to install F19 under Hercules 3.09 on
Windows 7 64 bit and the install appears to stop on the installer Configuration
- User Settings screen with ‘Preparing to install’ message.
The installer seems to boot fine with the following boot
options:
ro ramdisk_size=40000
cio_ignore=all,!0.0.0009 vnc vncpassword=fedora rd.dasd=0.0.3002
rd.dasd=0.0.3003 ip=192.168.0.202::192.168.0.1:24:s390.localdomain:eth0:none
rd.znet=lcs,0.0.0610,0.0.0611
root=live:http://192.168.0.51/f19/images/install.img repo=http://secondary.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora-secondary/releases/19/Fedora/s390x/os
nameserver=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
the nameserver parameter has been ‘x’ out for
security.
Next:
1) connect
over VNC
2) specify
language and keyboard map
3) specify installation
destination
4) specify software
selection, I select minimal
5) select
begin installation
6) specify
root password
7) specify user
after step 5 the ‘Preparing to install’ message is
displayed but nothing else seems to happen.
I’ve left the installer for several hours and no
further output is received.
Anyone come across this before? Are there any
diagnostics that would help determine what has gone wrong?
All suggestions welcome, thanks.
Regards, Darren.
