Hello,
We have had a successful build of Mono 4.8 for all architectures in March 2017: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=869336
But Mono failed to build for ppc64 and ppc64le and s390x in the mass rebuild for Fedora 27.
Latest failed build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=21388491
I have created bugs for that, with attached build.logs:
ppc64: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1484149 ppc64le: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1484151 those two might be duplicates.
this bug is different: s390x: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1484152
I would appreciate it a lot if someone has a look at them.
Thank you, Timotheus

I just tried a 4.8 build after checking out the mono-4.8.0-branch. I got a clean build for the runtime (it crashed in the assembly builds because of the level of monolite I was using).
libtool: compile: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -I../.. -I../../mono -I../../libgc/include -I../../eglib/src -I../../eglib/src -fvisibility=hidden -DGC_LINUX_THREADS -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -DUSE_MMAP -DUSE_MUNMAP -g -Wall -Wunused -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs -Wpointer-arith -Wno-cast-qual -Wwrite-strings -Wno-switch -Wno-switch-enum -Wno-unused-value -Wno-attributes -DUSE_COMPILER_TLS -g -O2 -std=gnu99 -fno-strict-aliasing -fwrapv -Wno-zero-length-array -DMONO_DLL_EXPORT -Wno-unused-but-set-variable -g -Wall -Wunused -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs -Wpointer-arith -Wno-cast-qual -Wwrite-strings -Wno-switch -Wno-switch-enum -Wno-unused-value -Wno-attributes -mbackchain -D__USE_STRING_INLINES -Werror-implicit-function-declaration -MT mono-networkinterfaces.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/mono-networkinterfaces.Tpo -c mono-networkinterfaces.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/mono-networkinterfaces.o
Strange how my compile statement looks different to yours. I compiled using gcc 4.7.2. It also built under 4.4.7.

Hello Neale,
Further information on the build:
Thank you for your investigations.
It seems, Than has already fixed all bugs, and mono builds fine on Rawhide. I am just rebuiding the package for Fedora 27.
Thank you, Timotheus
