When this group first started we did a survey to see when would be the best time to get people together. Since then two things have happened:
1) We've seen an interest from APAC to have a more convenient time for them. Our current meeting time is after midnight for them. 2) We seen a drastic reduction in meeting attendance.
I pretty much assumed that #2 was going to happen. Really, our meetings are times when we can all agree to get together to field questions and perhaps work on problems together. I never intend to conduct actual business during these meetings since not everyone can attend. Any time anything important WRT the team needs to be discussed for a binding decision it will be done here (like we're doing now).
FWIW, I'm not against hosting a second meeting or changing our current meeting time if a better time exists. That said, I've reset the survey[0] to remove everyone's availability and added some additional times that I'm willing to be available. Please complete the survey (remember to select your timezone so you can see your local time) soon so we can see when a better time is to meet. I hope we can revisit this early next week and make a change.

IMO, the attrition could be due to undefined agenda. We need to aim towards having fruitful 'engaging' discussion. It could be reviewing the security activities that we did over the week. Or if there needs to be a change in how we tackle unresponsive maintainers or dead packages. Last time I had written here about this issue and that we need to be able to retire unused/dead packages and close security bugs against them. These are just examples, there could other options too.

When looking at the results I find that 9AM EDT is the best for most people. Unfortunately we have one or two people that only selected a single time each day. Unless that's truly your *only* time you can meet this is not how WhenIsGood is designed to work. I'll leave the poll open a little while longer and encourage everyone to modify their times to add more available times.
