what's up with the wad of KDE fixes?

So, we have a bunch of updates in our mailbox for F11 and F12 for
various KDE packages, with one of two advisory ids:

FEDORA-2010-6077 (F11)
FEDORA-2010-6096 (F12)

all of them refer to a kdm security problem, but none of these actually
fix kdm I don't think ... and there is no advisory for kdm itself ...

can someone help me out with what's going on here?

Probably not ideal, but the upstream patch to address the kdm/CVE issue was 
indeed applied to kdebase-workspace-4.4.2-5, which was bundled along with 
the aforementioned kde-4.4.2 update.
