semodule -r myclam
-r operates on the module name, as declared within the module, since the
module is already installed and known to the system.
-i operates on the file name, since it has to read in the module
contents from the file and install it.
Thus, -r wouldn't use the .pp suffix, whereas -i would.

Yes, along with the {.te,.fc,.if} files too.
I'm going to reply to Paul's follow up here, as I think we may have
solved at least a core part of the problem with the re-load of the RPMS.
I'll hold on sending the files pending further discussion on that.
