Fedora documentation box on docs start page
by Peter Boy
Last meeting we decided about the description we want on the docs start page for our documentation.
We decided:
Fedora Server
Empowers you to deploy the services you need, modern or legacy, under your own control, and adapted to your own needs
In retrospect, "modern or legacy" seems a bit biased to me. Shouldn't it be better called „modern or classic“?

Fedora website - revamp
by Pawel Zelawski
Dear team,
we decided it's time to rethink our needs and redesign Fedora main website from scratch.
I would like to encourage your team to take a part in this initiative and work on this together as we need to make sure that we have everybody on board and all needs are taken into consideration.
Based on initial input I gather from Fedora forum and meeting with Matthew I prepared one page with summary of what we are going to do and it's available here https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Websites/Fedora_Website_Revamp
It's possible I'll move it to other place in the future but for now it will be our workspace.
As a short term strategy I would like you to choose one representative from your team for upcoming kick-off meeting with other stakeholders and send me directly details like name, Feroda ID and e-mail address. It will be much easier for me to contact chosen person having this. Please try to do this by 30th June. I'm aware holiday period started and probably not everyone will be available but let's try to do our best and push forward this exciting initiative :)
When I have all participants gathered I'll try to find common slot to organize session for us. Agenda will be included in invitation.
Main goal of this kick-off will be to discuss known facts, go through goals, assumptions and requirements and also plan next steps for next couple of weeks.
I'll propose long term strategy, approach and wider plan after meeting with all of you.
Please read in advance https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Websites/Fedora_Website_Revamp and if you already have some requests, suggestion please send it to your representative and then each person can send it to me before kick-off. Taking into consideration we will have huge amount of stakeholders I don't see other way to work on this than having one person from each team, I hope you understand.
Looking forward to work with all of you.
Stay safe!

== Next meeting: ==
Wednesday, July 14, 17:00 !!UTC!!
#fedora-meeting(a)irc.libera.chat
We have finally decided to return to a bi-weekly meeting, every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
Therefore, there is now a 3-week break. We want to make up for the gap by making greater use of the mailing list.
Topics discussed:
=== Server Product Requirement Document (PRD) ===
AGREED: Add dcavalca and adamw to the contributors list
AGREED: The WG approves the Product Requirement Document as of June 21, 2021 19:48 (UTC) supplemented by the agreed amendments
So this matter is finally solved!
ACTION: pboyHB contacts Matthew for further processing
ACTION: x3mboy will delete the obsolete PRD discussion pages (on hackmd.io)
=== Fedora Server Documentation ===
On the server link box on docs landing page we want the text:
AGREED: (Fedora Server) Empowers you to deploy the services you need, modern or legacy, under your own control, and adapted to your own needs
ACTION: pboyHB will file a request to include Server Docs on the docs landing page
=== Fedora Website - revamp ===
ACTION: pboyHB will contact the web revamp initiative
This is a temporary solution! As soon as the program and tasks are more precisely defined, a member of the Working Group will take over

What Fedora Server VM image to choose fir virtual server install ?
by Peter Boy
One of our goals since the server WG "reboot" was to cooperate with Cloud WG and to align Fedora Server and Cloud Base Image so that Base Image could reside as a virtual Fedora Server in a Fedora Server Edition non-cloud installation (among other things).
I have briefly summarized the current state of discussion in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Server/VM_Image. After 6 months of trying, the result is that this plan is not viable. There is a lack of any preconditions for the implementation or realisation of such a plan.
As a probably second best solution, we may look for a cooperation with an alternative VM image provider. Providers found so far:
- virt-builder
- oz-install
Neither of them really fit (see above mentioned page)
Does anyone know of another prospective VM provider?
