I have submitted the bug I previously filed as a release blocking bug,
noting the logic as it relates to current release criterion.

I take this that we finally have manage to agree upon the way to switch to GPT as default
partition scheme. We will start with fixing a regression resp. a bug in the software raid
installation and then take the long overdue step to GPT and thus implement a necessary
modernization of the installation procedure.
.. then a drive dies - do you expect the system to be
bootable? That is not a tested configuration right now.
I implicitly expected this, yes, because that is the purpose of a raid, I think. But you
are right, I’ll add it explicitly to the test description.
Well, obviously we managed to get consensus about the GPT change. It has been a rocky road
and not necessarily a stellar hour of Working Group cooperation. But in the end, it's
the result that counts.
Thank you to all for the persistent efforts to find an amicable solution.
I propose to finally close this thread and all other parallel threads on this topic
without further comment. Let's enjoy the fact that we made it together. Let’s start a
new thread about all the details we might have to resolve.
