I support displaying the contents of files in /etc/motd.d/*, but:
- Why only for ssh logins? What about console logins? What about graphical desktop logins? Why should that users not see this messages?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that in the case of desktop logins, cockpit-ws also ships a .desktop file, so it will show up in whichever menu system the DE provides. So it can be discovered that way.
