Tomorrow at 1600 UTC/1100 EST/1700 CET during the regularly-scheduled Server SIG
meeting in #fedora-meeting-1 on Freenode, Langdon White will be giving a brief
presentation and then a question-and-answer session around the planned
modularity efforts coming in Fedora.
This will be a high-level overview and brainstorming about what modularity means
to Fedora in general and the Server Edition in particular. To be clear, this is
an initial introduction to what will undoubtedly become a massive
cross-distribution effort. I encourage anyone who is interested in the Next Big
Thing to join us for this meeting (and of course the IRC logs will be published
afterwards).
I'll also note that this is an informational session, not a technical design
review: most of what will be covered will be at a 50,000 foot view. As moderator
of the discussion, I will try to keep us focused on goals rather than
implementation details for this meeting; there will be many more discussions
around implementation in the coming months.
