So why can't you just use mock? Or, for that matter kickstart?
But AFAIK mock can't create fstab (required by mkinitrd) or reset the
password for root.
Can I run a kickstart install on my workstation (while doing regular
work there) to install a system on a new device that will be then pulled
out and used somewhere else?
