Hi folks,
I apologize in advance for my ignorance regarding the Server SIG -
We have a wiki page for the Server here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Server
Is this content in active use? It appears to be focus on a server spin, but I can't find a server spin on alt.fpo or spins.fpo. This mailing list was also used by the server SIG - based on mailman archives, it stopped being active in Nov 2010. [1]
Should we:
1) Clean-slate the page and re-purpose it for the working group and any SIG members that are remaining?
or
2) Leave it alone and start a new one? (/wiki/Server or /wiki/ServerWG?)
I'm particularly interested in hearing from original Server SIG folks!

[1] https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/server/ There's a year-long gap where there are some posts in late 2011/early 2012, then an almost 2-year long gap between February 2012 and now.

I would scrap it and start anew. I don't think we got anywhere far enough to have a lessons learned other than that a lot of people wanted a lot of things but the amount of effort and support that was available was negligible.

So we had some discussion on IRC. What I'm going to do is just set up /wiki/Server (following the Cloud group's lead) and wait to hear from more Server SIG folks before marking those pages as deprecated.
IRC discussion log follows below.

<mizmo> sgallagh, do we use the server SIG wiki pages for the server WG or should there be a different set? <mizmo> there's a lot of pre-existing content on the server sig page, im not sure how much of it is actively in use, and i dont want to step on toes <sgallagh> mizmo: We didn't discuss that in the meeting. I'm inclined to say "probably", but let's ask the mailing list. <mizmo> sgallagh, okie dokie <nirik> well, the working group is not a SIG... I'd just take over the non SIG space and perhaps change the SIG pages to say they are no longer maintained? <mizmo> nirik, that seems a fair proposal <nirik> the wiki is sometimes quite the briar patch <mizmo> nirik, should the new page be /wiki/ServerWG or should it be just /wiki/Server? <sgallagh> mizmo: Let's go with /wiki/Server <nirik> I guess cloud WG is just using "Cloud" <nirik> so, yeah <sgallagh> the WG is really just the voting group <sgallagh> "Fedora Server" is the product we're building <mizmo> okay cool <mizmo> i'm gonna copy/paste this discussion and send to the list for context

I like option #1. Over in Cloud, I think we're basically framing the Cloud WG as a subset of the Cloud SIG, and I think that parallel can apply here too. However, I think there probably _should_ be a landing page at /wiki/Server too.

It makes me sad on so many levels. But, on the other hand, seeing all of the current work actually going in a real direction... not so sad.
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to follow up on the Server WG wiki:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Server
I set it up with an initial set of content now.

Mizmo,
This looks very nice :)
