Where does Fedora on SPARC stand? I've got a Sunfire V480 system that is just waiting for a use, and I was thinking of putting Fedora on it (it might become my Fedora mirror server in fact).

I haven't sat down and worked on anaconda yet. I wanted to get as much of the package tree done first.

Is there anything I can do to help? I've got this V480 all ready to make noise (in someone else's office!).

Dennis posted a message to this list titled "Packages that need some TLC". I've fixed some of them, but the following need fixes:
opencv (bus error on sparc64 test suite) qca-tls alliance polyxmass-bin openlierox hdf perl-Net-CUPS Inventor multiget metakit k3d m2crypto gnubg ocaml gtkmozembedmm libdap gpsim prelink
Also, mono is broken on sparc64, which is preventing us from rebuilding anything that depends on mono.
This is not a complete list, just the most obvious.

Silly question: what's the best way to get started? My Sun has Solaris on it at the moment. Is there a way to bootstrap without anaconda?

you should be able to install a minimal system using the aurora corona tree. then point yum at http://aurora.fedoramirror.net/pub/aurora/development/sparc/os/ and do a "sparc32 yum update" followed by "yum install kernel" followed by "silo" then reboot
