Although also the feature freeze, these are the spins approved for F10-Beta, and are thus going to be composed. Given a certain set of conditions to be met in advance, of which all the spin maintainers have been notified, these are the spins that are going to be composed:
fedora-livecd-desktop-default.ks fedora-livecd-education-math.ks fedora-livecd-kde.ks fedora-livecd-xfce.ks fedora-livedvd-games.ks
Spins in the spin-kickstarts GIT repository which will not be composed as of yet, awaiting certain conditions to be met, are:
fedora-livecd-broffice.org.ks * Note: awaiting review by the Spin SIG which will happen tomorrow, by me fedora-livedvd-developer.ks * Feature Page lacking fedora-livedvd-electronic-lab.ks * Feature page lacking
August 19th, during whatever is daytime for me, I'll be branching off the spin-kickstarts GIT repository into F-10-Beta, from which the F-10-Beta images will be composed. Development can continue in the master branch, which is the branch that moves with rawhide.
Note that _any_ questions can be asked on this list and will be answered promptly as I'm watching this list like a hawk, so if you have any questions regarding the process, the required Feature pages, and whatnot, please _do_ ask.
Kind regards,
Jeroen van Meeuwen -kanarip

Jereon:
David Huff has put this feature up:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/appliance-tools
which contains a spin element. The feature has been moved to "FeatureReadyForFesco" by the "feature Wrangler,". Just checking (since we are kinda new at this) is this on track for the 19th?

Yes. Watch out for the next FESCo meeting announcement in fedora-devel list and make sure your feature request gets discussed.

It would be a good thing to do that. Sometimes there are concerns raised during the meeting and if you (or others involved in this feature request) are present in the meeting to address those, you have a better chance of success. The meeting time is listed in

If the spin part of this feature is going to need to be included in the spin-kickstarts GIT repository, this feature is not on schedule.
Furthermore, if the spin part of this feature is going to need to be built and released by the Fedora Project (which is a continuing track from being included in the spin-kickstarts GIT repository), then again this feature is not on schedule.
The Beta Freeze is when all the spin concepts that are going to need to be composed and released by the Fedora Project proper need to be approved by (in order of appearance):
- The Spin SIG (technical approval) - The Board (Trademark approval) - FESCo (Feature approval, which delegates for the most part to Release Engineering) - Release Engineering and QA Team (technical approval as well as contingency plans for the feature, dependencies set forth on the feature page, etc)
August 19th is the deadline for all of the above, or, in case the feature just desires to be included in the spin-kickstart repository, the approval by the Spin SIG.
If you feel the spin concept part of the feature needs to be included in the spin-kickstarts GIT repository, which is the first step in pursuing anything (whether it be board approval or being released as part of Fedora), submit the kickstart to the spin sig mailing list (which is this list).
In case of a extraordinary kickstart file or set of kickstart files like the appliance-tools has, please accompany your submission with the appropriate motivation or background.
Kind regards,
