Hi,
I would like to know if the following steps can be added for the FEL spin Live user?
sudo groupadd microchip sudo usermod -a -G microchip $USER sudo usermod -a -G dialout $USER
If yes, where do these instructions need to be inserted so it gets reflected when the spin is created?
Please let me know.
Thanks!

The above permissions are required to use the Icaro software with the Live User. Or, is the recommended approach to install software to disk before using it?

Silly question, but shouldn't Icaro "just work" for any user? What is the purpose of requiring these additional permissions?

It was feedback [1] that came from presenting Icaro on FEL at FISL.

OK, that explains my second question, but not the first.
I suppose then, this could be argued to be at least a short-term fix, until the the packaging/policy is fixed to work for all users.

Surely this should be using udev/systemd to set acls for the active user?
