rdate isn't in any spin, as far as I can tell.
It was dropped from the standard group in comps. The only reference to it is the explicit *removal* of it in SoaS.
Given that rdate isn't intended to be in any spin, I don't think there's anything to do for an rdate/openrdate switch.

I haven't noticed the mentioning in SoaS means actually removal, then we can close this probably.
