Maybe the effort could be better spent curating a "Recommended Games"
section for GNOME Software in Fedora?
It is hard to say without usage numbers. I do think it can be convenient for
some kinds of testing. It can work on some older systems because it is
XFCE based instead of Gnome based, but the games provide a good way to
test support for both old and new graphics devices.
The effort for maintaining the spin isn't that high. It isn't clear that
time and effort not spent maintaining the games spin would get spent on
currating game recommendations (or anything else games related).
I think having reviews of games would be nice. I would hesitate to call it
a list of recommended games though, because which games a person likes
is pretty individual. While there may be some bad games that virtually
nobody likes, there are lots of games that some people like a lot, and
other people don't like.
