I recall seeing that David Huff (?) was working on a mini.ks that will become the basis for a couple spins. How's that going? Does the Spins SIG expect that to be ready for feature freeze next week?
And are these purely related to live spins or will it also affect the likes of the fedora-aos ?

As it stands at the moment it only affects the spins that use it but over time I would like the following: - eventually for it to be merged upstream into the main base file so its not needed - others to review it and use it in the mean time so it can be improved and debugged to make it easier to merge
It was only created as it stripped 100 odd meg of a live CD reducing from around 500 to 400 meg.

My goal was to rebate the fedora AOS to use this fedora-mini.ks and fix any issues that I run into while doing this. I was also going to test other spins that use this and make sure its one mini.ks that works for all of these.
I made some progress this week and will have ever thing wrapped up my the spin meeting on MON.
Currently there are no plans to have the other spins use this.

I believe that would be my fedora-mini-base.ks and its liked from the Moblin feature page. It does need some updating and cleanup but it is usable and was approved by the spins SIG. I'm not going to have time to fix it all up this week (I'm moving house, flying out to Australia and work is hell to top that off!) but its on my list to hopefully have it their by Alpha release. The sugar and design spin are using it as well. I'm liaising with Sebastian as well.
Cheers, Peter
