I believe/hope/wish that libical is available on any

systems. AFAIK libical is a dependency of GNOME and GNOME is available
on FreeBSD so libical should be there, too. I really don't know Solaris
so I can't tell.
The code compiled just fine with C89 for me. I'm using #define
_XOPEN_SOURCE 500 for some features, could that raise any portability
issues here? I should hope not.
