FYI
Again same problem on another machine, solved adding: ldap_use_tokengroups = false in /etc/sssd/sssd.conf and restarting service.
Unfortunately, it was a production server and I as not able to try other solutions.
Could you try to reproduce but on non-production system?
Packages from my repo[1] should fix your problem and it should work also with enabled tokengroups.
