Evaluation period - make the selections harder

Dear Students, As you all aware we are at the evaluation period of your proposals. >From today, we have exactly 7 days to make the final decision. We have good number of strong proposals so that it is hard to take a decision. We are getting some limited number of slots from Google, otherwise we would have accepted all the strong proposals we have. Therefore a selection should have to be made. Your mentors are probably looking some other facts. Do make the mentors selection process hard. Keep communications with the mentor, the community. Start contributing other teams in Fedora. Get familiar with the Fedora project, implement your project as planned. Blog everything you are doing. Further if you want to get any clarification, support feel free to content me at any time. Proposal for Web Hosting Control Panel

Hi, I am a Physics Engineering student at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. I am also a developer at Pardus, a Linux distribution developed by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Web Hosting Control Panel is one of the proposed ideas for GSoC 2012 in Fedora. The main purpose is to create a free control panel which Fedora users can install as a package. This panel will allow users to manage their own hosting system without manually editing configuration files. My application for proposal is here[1], and I have also developed a demo[2] for panel. There are only few pages in demo, but I will try to add all pages. It is a (very) early preview of how the control panel will look like when GSoC period is over. plan to implement a binding translator from python to GlusterFS providing the POSIX file system calls that GlusterFS already offer through a python module, creating an abstraction layer of the inner workings of the GlusterFS. [GSoC] Proposal for IsItFedoraRuby.com

Hi Everyone, IsItFedoraRuby.com (http://IsItFedoraRuby.com) is an idea proposed in this year's Google Summer of Code. The website will be mainly used for tracking the progress of the conversion of each gem (similar to isitruby19.com (http://isitruby19.com)) promoting the Fedora/Ruby integration, as well as highlighting some success stories. Hopefully, this website will let more people to be aware of the project, and thus more would contribute to make it better. I have drafted a proposal with some preliminary design of the website. Hey! I'm Feroze and I'm doing my undergrad in Engineering. I love recording and mixing my own music and have helped with my school skits and theatre. Most of my audio production work was done on Windows. I have a lot of experience with Linux development and would like to create Fedora Audio Spin. I am attracted to Fedora for its values regarding free software. I have been wanting an audio production environment with truly free and un-patented software. I want to make the Audio Spin very simple and intuitive for users with no prior Linux experience.
