GSoc Application Submitted But Cannot Contact Mentor
by Apoorv Garg
Respected Sir/Mam,
I a student of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi, India wants
to have you as the mentor for the GSOC 2020 for the project of Packit
Dashboard. I apologize for reaching out to you so late, I wrote this email
much before but due to some mix up it was sent to some wrong email and
couldn't reach you. I have made the proposal to GSoC, worked really hard
and have contributed to the open source a lot.
Kindly overlook this minor hiccup. I have prepared my GSOC application. I
am a very diligent and voracious learner and am sure that my Application
will speak the same about me as well and am confident that even if not
selected will give you some trouble choosing between me and the winner.
Looking Forward to Working with you. Yours Sincerely,
Apoorv Garg

GSoC 2020 | Improving Network Linux System Role
by Naman Dhingra
Hello there,
Hope this email finds you well!
This is in with reference to the project idea of improving the N/W Linux
System Role shared on GSoC 2020.
I would like to tell you that I really liked this idea of how we're trying
to uniformly handle the configurations for Network-Scripts and
NetworkManager. Moreover the thought to automate it via Ansible is a very
good fit on a whole.
Telling a bit about me, I'm a final year B.Tech CSE student, being Red Hat
Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation and some other tools, so I do
have the knowledge about the power of Ansible tool and how everything in it
goes on.
I would really appreciate if you can share some more info. about this so
that I can prepare a proposal for it and submit.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and regards,
Naman

GSoC : Add varlink support to nmstate.
by Ishan Rai
Hi,
I am Ishan Rai and I am interested in working on the project *Add varlink
support to nmstate*.
I have cloned and built the repository on my fedora 31. I have also
undergone the proof of concept.
I participated in Google Summer of Code'19 with Ganga under CERN-HSF and I
am still an active part of the organization.
I am hoping to participate in Google Summer of Code'20 with Fedora and
become an active member of the community even after the periods ends.
Regards,
Ishan Rai

GSOC 2020 Introduction - Varlink support to Nmstate
by Tavneet Sarna
Hi everyone,
I am currently a Masters student in Computer Science and I wanted to work
on the "varlink support to Nmstate" project as part of GSoC 2020. I have
experience with the technologies required for the project, so it seems like
a good fit.
I had a few queries regarding the project -
In the project description, there is a mention of kubernetes-nmstate. Just
to clarify is the project to add support for the python nmstate library or
the kubernetes one written in Go ? Finally, are there any beginner friendly
issues that I could solve to strengthen my application?
Regards
Tavneet

GSoC 2020 Introduction
by Francis Foto
Hello,
My name is Francis Foto. I am a final year accounting student from the
university of Buea. I'm also a self taught programmer with over 2 years
programming experience in Python and JavaScript. I learned about GSoC a few
weeks ago from a friend and decided to look it up. While going through the
organizations page, I found the Fedora project *Packit can work with Gitlab
*very interesting and would like to work on this project for GSoC. I've
spent about a week getting familiar with the packit project and other
projects under the Packit Service GitHub organization. Following the
documentations wasn't very easy but I've had a lot of help from František
and should be able to start making contributions and writing my proposal in
the next couple of days.

GSOC-2020 Proposal.
by Ayan Mondal
To our respected mentors,
Hello sir, My name is Ayan Mondal. I am a third year student at Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering. I want to participate in gsoc-2020 as a contributor. I am open source enthusiastic and want to be a python developer. It was my dream to be an open source contributor, so that I chose the packit dashboard project and want to contribute on it as a gsoc intern. I already started to fix some issue on that particular repository and had a nice communication with other contributors.
Hence, I request you to kindly direct me towards tasks using which I can prove my competency and send an amazing proposal, so to that I can work
on this project. Thank You.
