Proposal to CANCEL: 2021-03-29 Fedora QA Meeting
by Adam Williamson
Hi folks! I'm proposing we cancel the QA meeting tomorrow. I don't have
anything urgent this week, and we'll be doing a blocker meeting for F34.
If you're aware of anything important we have to discuss this week,
please do reply to this mail and we can go ahead and run the meeting.
Thanks!

# Fedora Quality Assurance Meeting

# Location: #fedora-meeting on irc.freenode.net
Greetings testers!
We didn't meet for a couple of weeks, and Beta is signed off now, so
let's check in on that and make sure we're all ready for Beta release.
Note that daylight savings time started in most of North America
recently, so the meeting time in UTC has been changed. If your clocks
went forward recently, the meeting time in your local time will be the
same as it was before. If your area does not observe daylight savings,
or starts later, the meeting will be an hour *earlier* in your local
time than it was before. You can use 'date -u' to check the current UTC
time and make sure you head to the meeting at the right time.
If anyone has any other items for the agenda, please reply to this
email and suggest them! Thanks.
== Proposed Agenda Topics ==
1. Previous meeting follow-up
2. Fedora 34 Beta prep and status
3. Test Day / community event status
4. Open floor

[Test Week] Systemd-oomd by default starts 2021-03-18 *TODAY*
by Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey All,
Fedora users in out-of-memory (OOM) situations get benefitted by
enabling systemd-oomd[0] by default. Actions taken by systemd-oomd
operate on a per-cgroup level, aligning well with the life cycle of
systemd units. As this becomes a default feature, we are running a
test week to verify the intended functionality of the feature.
Systemd-oomd will be enabled by default in all variants of Fedora 34
and it's important for us to test against as many as possible. The
test week[1] begins on the 18th of March and will run till 25th March.
If you have any questions and some spare time, please do test the
feature and drop by #fedora-test-day@freenode
