Thanks to everyone who turned out for the systemd Test Day. Here's the
recap.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2010-09-07_Systemd
The turnout was good, especially given the late re-schedule of the day
(sorry about that!), and it seemed like people did a lot of good
testing.
Here's the list of bugs exposed by the Test Day:
630914 NEW - Single user mode reported as "unknown"
631160 NEW - kdm is (re)started just before shutdown???
631588 NEW - KDE couldn't shutdown
631590 NEW - I have a different prompt in single mode
631592 NEW - halt command leaves display at a black screen
624149 ASSIGNED - systemd's shutdown command should follow traditional semantics
627014 ASSIGNED - systemd provided telinit does not work as advertised
630935 MODIFIED - shutdown from init 1 starts default during shutdown process
630915 CLOSED DUPLICATE - Stopping rpcbind (via systemctl): /etc/init.d/killall: line 16:
1654 Terminated /etc/init.d/$subsys stop
631584 CLOSED DUPLICATE - getty and firstboot running on the same virtual console tty
As you can see, we've already made a start on triaging and fixing the
bugs. FESCo is also discussing the final decision on whether to go ahead
with systemd for Fedora 14 in a trac ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/461
Thanks again for all the testing, everyone. Of course, further testing
is still useful even though the event is officially over - you can still
follow the instructions on the page and contribute your results, and bug
reports. Thanks!
