FC6 Test 1: init.d kills during startup

FC6 Test 1 (PPC iMac)
After updating to kernel 2.6.17-1.2318, just after thr Press "I" for
Interactive mode, I am seeing such and such process killed; then the
system hangs.
Reverted back to using -
2.6.16-1.2289_FC6 #1 Thu Jun 15 14:32:42 EDT 2006 ppc ppc ppc GNU/Linux
Also, after each update the iptables do not seem to want to set-up
properly, I have to manually reset both iptables and ip6tables...
Most things I have tested so far appear to work fine, Atlantik being
the exception. Overall a very good test build -- at least it actually
installs on my iMac. Nothing after FC5 Test 1 would install during
that roll out -- and I had to "trick" FC5 Test 3 to install by
installing Ubuntu first back then.

As of June 23 the Nvidia posted drivers would install perfectly but
refuse to run on any of the current FC4, FC5 or FC6 kernels. This will
probably be quickly fixed but wasn't as of that date.

Switchroot : mount failed : No such file or dir.
I reboot with the old kernel and it works ...

New system-config-printer

Hi!
FC 6 contains a completely new implemented system-config-printer.
Features are:
* Directly works on the cups configuration (no more alchemist)
* enabling/disabling printers
* Support for all PPD options
* Support for restrictions between PPD option settings
* can configure remote cups servers (if they allow remote
administration)
* limited configuration of the cups server itself
There also is a new implementation of hal-cups-utils (as the old version
used the old system-config-printer)
Features are:
* enable/disable USB printers when attached/removed
* tries to automatically configure USB printer when first attached
* ask eggcups for make/model if auto detection failed
As this is brand new code testing is highly appreciated.

Ack! kernel 2318 x86_64 panics

This looks like it is still related to device mapper and sata
drive problems, but with the latest updates I got tonight, I
get a kernel panic during boot. Guess I'll have to do the serial console
thing and capture the messages again.

wacom tablet questions

I installed Fedora Core 6 test 1, and noticed some problems with my
wacom-tablet. But I don't exactly know under which program I should file
them in bugzilla.
The first problem is that the udev-rule 60-wacom.rules isn't applied. This
one I can put under the linuxwacom-package I think.
The second is a bit harder. It would be nice to have the wacom-tablet to be
configured as one in xorg.conf. I noticed there is an similar request in
bugzilla for fc 1 (bug 109750). The status is still "ASSIGNED". Can I create
another one for fc6-test1? But the problem is the redhat-config-mouse
doesn't exist anymore. Or will this one be adressed before fc6 releases?
It would be really nice to have the tablet work 'out-of-the-box' in
fc6-final.
