Anyway, I think that is why I can't logon anymore. You can find numerous BZs I have filed as ckunkel - at - been.there.com and currently as clydekunkel7734 -at- verizon.net and many karma points for previous versions of Fedora. I have read all of the documentation and am very much aware that proven testers may be heavily modified or will just plain go away at some point. Thanks. Hello people, I just created my FAS account and I am happy that I can contribute to the project. I am more interested in testing updates, doing some research I saw that I have to create an account at bohdi and do the testing from there. Is this right?? I believe I will need a mentor for the beginning. My skills are mostly Java and a good experience with haskell, also I am using fedora for 2 years now so I can say that I feel comfortable with the command line. Thanks, Bill Vyzas

I have a few boxes that use a local repository that is rsync'd for both "fedora" and "updates". When I tried out "fedup --network" the tool showed the names of my local repos. However, when it started package downloads I noticed the speed to be 100k to 500k per second range. This would indicate that fedup is downloading from an Internet mirror (6mbit Internet) instead of my local mirror (gigabit network). I found, through "ss", that fedup is indeed connected to an FTP server on the Internet (ftp-chi.osuosl.org) Is fedup hardcoded to use the default "fedora" and "updates" repos even if they are disabled?
