Yeah. At this point I don't think we could take the change if we were
going to sign off on Thursday.
Unfortunately, it looks very much like we're slipping anyway. We have
two unaddressed accepted blockers and five unaddressed proposed
blockers, we don't have an RC, dgilmore is out for two and a half days
after tomorrow, and fedup is still not close to being done.
In the case that FESCo votes to take the change, I guess we can now just
say 'there's no chance we're going to Go on Thursday' and take the
change into anaconda immediately, or we can wait until after the
Go/No-Go meeting and take the change then, assuming we slipped. I'm not
sure which course would be better. Any thoughts?

System was still running. I was able to ssh into it from another machine.

Four of them have voted +1 so to me it looks like another thing FESCO
has not properly thought things through and the consequences of their
action.
I say we pull in the change now and be done with it and hope that FESCO
wont doing any other fundamental changes past freeze but if it takes no
more then certain RH people not keeping themselves in the loop of what's
happening in Fedora and then can pop up and have it changed passed
freeze then no one never knows...

You're entitled to that opinion, sure.

fact on the east cost of the US and likely dealing with hurricane
fallout. I'm sure they will chime in as soon as they have power, net
and a chance to do so.

I think I did the same mistake this morning in any case let's hope this
was the last installer related surprise we have to deal with this
release cycle.
We where fortunate that Remi was paying attention and monitoring the new
apache version 2.4 this release cycle, creating a tracker bug and
identified and filing whopping 60 bugs that update brought for various
components while the QA community is stuck focusing and dealing with the
installer and related issues...

Well, it's still not sure that FESCo wishes to take the change...
hopefully at least one more FESCo member will emerge from the hurricane
and chime in on ticket. As soon as that happens, we should make the
change. IMHO.
