if i launch system-config-lvm i get the following:

Just edit your Partition.py while waiting for a fixed package. Change there 'ID_EXTENDS = [0x5, 0x85]' to 'ID_EXTENDS = [0x5, 0xf, 0x85]'.

Just edit your Partition.py while waiting for a fixed package. Change there 'ID_EXTENDS = [0x5, 0x85]' to 'ID_EXTENDS = [0x5, 0xf, 0x85]'.

This was an obvious guess. Maybe you have another partition type in your partition table or some other issue? It is difficult to tell without looking at your disk but consult again already quoted https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=169860
'system-config-lvm' unfortunately seems to be doing many unwarranted assumptions about partition tables it is dealing with and looks to me very fragile.
