Hello,
I have been getting this error for that past few weeks trying to install nvidia drivers. Is this a known issue or is it something unique to my system.
Failed to resolve the transaction: Problem: package akmod-nvidia-3:570.86.16-1.fc42.x86_64 from rpmfusion-nonfree-nvidia-driver requires nvidia-k mod-common >= 3:570.86.16, but none of the providers can be installed - conflicting requests - nothing provides /usr/sbin/grubby needed by xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-3:570.86.16-2.fc42.x86_64 from rpmfusion-n onfree-nvidia-driver You can try to add to command line: --setopt=optional_metadata_types=filelists to load additional filelists metadata --skip-broken to skip uninstallable packages
Thank you,
Mark

Is already fixed in xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-570.86.16-3.fc42 , the package is in koji but is not yet published, you have to wait for the package be published

Hello,
Nvidia driver looks like it is now working, however, when I turn off hybrid graphics, it fails to boot correctly and I get a blank desktop.
Thanks,
Mark

Doesn't turning off hybrid graphics mean you only have the non-nvidia chip?
Hi, other way around, it only uses the nvidia GPU and disables the intel one. It basically forces the OS to use Nvidis, and actually, the nvidia card is twice as fast . Linux doesn’t handle switching GPUs very well ________________________________ From: Samuel Sieb samuel@sieb.net Sent: Saturday, February 15, 2025 2:18:17 AM To: test@lists.fedoraproject.org test@lists.fedoraproject.org Subject: Re: nvidia

If you use gnome, there is an issue with reverse prime https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3918. Should be fixed in upcoming release.
