In F41 I switched from Virtualbox.org (oracle) to the fedora edition of VirtualBox, and I learned that the past "Virtualbox guest addition" functions now have been realized by some fedora pkg called *virtualbox-guest-additions*, but I have problems to use this package (for CD or DVD or modify the guests sccreen resolution a.s.o.).
Questions: Anybody knows where to get some detailed information about the usage of this package?
Kind regards
Joachim Backes

- Oracle VBox extension Pack (from Oracle downloaded !) installed ? see in the left Vbox panel: "Tools" => Hamburger Menue (naming ? ) => Extensions
- Vbox Driver installed in an running VM; Menue: "Devices" => "Upgrade ..."
P.S. info's are from an original Oracle VBox, but I did that steps on my brothers box running rpmfusion VBox

Just to be clear, VirtualBox is not provided by Fedora. It comes from rpmfusion, so this isn't the right place to be asking about it.
I recommend using kvm/qemu instead.

This is mostly correct, but I missed that the guest additions are actually provided by Fedora.

I'm one maintainer of the package . what information are you looking for ?
you got one update https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-6090beb6d3
the instructions are just `dnf install virtualbox-guest-additions`
virtualbox-guest-additions replaces the application of Virtualbox's own methodology to install Guest Additions (in menu: Devices | Insert Guest Additions CD-image file).
