Thank you for the welcome, Matthew Miller!
Any chance I can get your advice on getting started? I’m not experienced with QA (yet),
but I’m a diligent problem solver and learner, however, there appears to be a lot to learn
for a newbie and a lot of directions to go at once. So far I have:
• Signed up for the mailing lists
• Introduced myself on the mailing list
• Created a FAS account
• Watched Sumantro Mukherjee’s Fedora QA Global Onboarding Call
• Started following items on Bodhi
Next, I plan to:
• Setup a virtual machine setup
• Install relval and easy karma
• Try to test updates on bodhi
• Visit openQA and fedore-qa on Pagure
Is there anything I am leaving out?
I have 1 question about editing the wiki to update test results - I can’t login to wiki
because it says “You need to have at least CLA+1 (group)” to login. How can I get this
fixed or does relval/easy karma take care of this for me?
Thanks (in advance) for any advice or info!
Ps. I crossposted to
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/getting-started-with-qa-testing/2736
and will update there with any useful info for future newbies’ reference.

QA is also an area that always fascinated me because I love to push all

to learn more about the QA process and how it works in an open source

for the opportunity and I I look forward to speaking/writing and learning
from you all.
Hi Danny Lee, and welcome! Since Silverblue is a new thing, we definitely
need an influx of new testers, so your involvement is very welcome!
