F14 Alpha blank screen during install

Hi,

I still was not able to install F14 Alpha with netinst.iso. Blank
screen after anaconda starts, as described in the F14 Common Bugs wiki
page. I have Ati Radeon 9200. As I remember it didn't work with basic
video drive either. I will try it again.
Is that problem still exist? A new bug was opened in bugzilla yesterday:

Can I somehow (help to) resolve the problem?

During anaconda, I couldn't get any video to work on my system
at all with ati or vesa. I installed with VNC and after getting
updates, the ATI driver works fine.

I'm planning on switching back to the vesa driver sometime and
see if I can get a log telling me why it won't work (or maybe
it works OK after updates as well).

The F14 Alpha DVD needs nomodeset on the kernel cmd line for most radeon 
adapters in order to see the gui installer.

The bug's already known, documented in common bugs, and should be fixed
for Beta:

Zoltan's bug doesn't look like the widely-encountered one, I think his
Radeon is a bit too early to hit that. Zoltan, does booting the live CD
work?

OK, I could install Alpha in graphic mode after adding the nomodeset
parameter at the boot screen.
I also tested the live CD, it does boot.

Hmm, so that does sound like the known bug then. But using basic video
driver didn't work?

No. I have tried again just now. Blank screen with basic video driver.

I just tried a few different installs again as well. If I use
nomodeset, but let it try the radeon driver, I get a crash
in the driver, if I don't use nomodeset, I encounter the "no signal"
problem, and if I try the vesa driver, it crashes as well
(details added to bug 627073).

Fortunately the radeon driver works fine once I got f14
installed via VNC.

My radeon 9200 doesn't work with Fedora 2.6.34 and 2.6.35 kernels with KMS.
But I also have a monitor that doesn't do EDID. This seems to be a different
bug than the black screen that gets fixed after install.
