What am I missing in FC4?
by Munzir Taha
Salaam all,
Finally, I found some one to download FC4 for me. Do you know what's the most
nice thing I like in FC? Its GUI Add or Remove Packages
(system-config-packages).
It's very easy to check or unckeck the package to install or uninstall it like
we used to do in Windows. I used to open two different windows in Mandrake to
install/uninstall. But how can I search for a package or a file?
The funny thing is do you know what's the most irritating thing in FC to me?
It's text mode yum command. Either I am missing something obvious or FC is
missing an important usability here. In Mandrake I use urpmi to install any
package on the CD. In Fedora, I don't even know how to tell whether the
package is available on the CD or not. Any help or hint?
Do I need to report these as bugs? Can the people @redhat.com here lends a
hand?

RE: [Fedora-trans-ar] Re: Are you ready?

Great.. well now it's kbabel turn..
Open the files from kbabel.. when u open kbabel for the first time, u
will be asked to enter ur entity _Ur Infomation_; username, which
traslating mailling list..something like that.. u can get it from
preference in kbabel..
Whatever.. open the file and start translating the strings.. there is
2buttons at the lower right corner i guess to navigate between the
strings..
..
Kbabel it's straight forward.. if u have difficulty to use kbabel let
us know so we can help..
Also another point, if you doubted certain phrase, which more accurate
translated phrase or don't even have a clue but u not convienced with
the arabized phrase.. let us discuss it here over the mailling list..
Maha.

Salaam Ahmed,
Sorry I haven't read your message properly. Let's see what's the problem on
your subscription...
Sherif, Desokey, isn't this process automated? What's the problem please?

Salaam Ahmed,
Don't worry you will find all the details you want from the subscribers of the
mailing list but you need to subscribe. This guarantees that we won't explain
every detail for every one alone. Mailing lists have an archive so we can
refer new subscribers to old threads instead of repeating ourselves (is this
expression correct in English?)
