Re: [Fedora-trans-ar] VIVA Linux
by Ali Ghareb
Hi Eng.Maha
yes there was missing private key file permission which cause the error:
Permission Denied or Access Denied
and when I type the command
$chmod 700 id_dsa
to make the file rwx enabled, it worked
but the private key file on windows was enabled too, and I dont know what
the problem on windows yet
now I will take your advice and begin with a small module that has few
untranslated strings
or I can wait until Eng.Munzir tell about this
and I will look for help if anything else appear!
so be close and make this list active
thanks alot Eng.Maha

VIVA Linux
by Ali Ghareb
Hi Eng.Maha
finally
it working now on Linux
I dont believe ...after all these attempts
the problem was so simple
it says Permission denied becouse the private key file permission need to be
set to 700 by chmod
I'm so stupid
anyway
Now , I need from you the advice !
what the module I could begin with (an easy one)?
and what the things I could avert?
thanks alot Eng.Maha

Re: [Fedora-trans-ar] file released
by Ali Ghareb
Eng.Maha
I'm totally frustrated from this
I received the same error with the new registration .....
I dont know what I can do
I read all the Help of TortoiseCVS, CVS manual, some other board posts about
similar errors
.....
you say :
>So try this time to remember you registration info.. your login and your
keys.. both the public..
> the one you will generate it and register with and the other pair..
private key.. and when you receive the activation mail.. try to configure
TortoiseCVS to point to your keys, you login, >the SSH parameters and the
network compression parameter.
how i configure TortoiseCVS to point to the public key? I saved it but how I
can use it in Tortoise?
>So tell me Ali.. which module you want to start with?
lol, I will decide when this work
>another question i got.. Are you linux user or Window user.. I mean are you
familiar with linux in general?
both Eng.Maha
at work we use windows
and at home I've two machines
one with windows for Access, C#, Paltalk, else
the other is linux
and I'm old Linux user (i guess from 2000) and work on many dists of it, the
first one was: Redhat 6 and now I downloaded Fedora 6 and play with it

Eng.Maha
Now the Error changed on TortoiseCVS
{
cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `Server refused our key
' from cvs server
cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `No supported authentication
methods left to try!
' from cvs server
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if
any)
Error, CVS operation failed
}
look, it say server refused our key from cvs server
I will try to generate another key and register again and I wish it work
......
I cant say thanks again becouse it seems so trite beside your replys

Hi again
on TortoiseCVS the error is
"cvs [checkout aborted]: writing to server socket: error -1"
on linux
Access denied
I feel there is step after the confirmation email or they closed the new
contributers registration lol
BTW this is the error

Hi Eng.Maha
thanx again for concern
all of that did
In first I generated a key on windows using Putty and this required for
registration and received confirmation email
and I did what you sent in the second email after that and receive the error
and then go to linux and generate another key and registered again with
another address, received another confirmation email
and recieved the same error also under linux
unlucky
sorry again for your valuable time ( download&install Tortoise and read
tutorial)
I will search again about any solution for this
and if anything appear tell me
thank you

Re: [Fedora-trans-ar] file released

Hi Eng.Munzir, Eng.Maha
all the steps are done according to this
http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/translation-quick-start-guide/en/
I try anonymous login and it work and all po files downloaded
but can i resume anonymously??
and I mean can I commit the po files anonymously also
I test it and it say
cvs [server aborted]: "commit" requires write access to the
repository
is there is any other step after receiving activation mail from
fedora-trans-list-owner(a)redhat.com ???
sorry for all these questions, really its the first time of using CVS in
translation!
thank you for replying
also the site http://www.arabic-fedora.org/<http://www.arabic-fedora.org/munzir/OpenBugs.html>
