Greetings,
I wanted to hear your opinion about that stuff, do you think it's something
worthy? Take a look

Dan Abnett is responsible for some of exactly what he's talking about. The
Gaunt's Ghosts novels are some of the least interesting books I've ever read. I
love 40k to death but I do not understand why people recommend this series. It's
just a string of WW2 combat scenes with interchangeable characters. There's no real
story or characters with depth, just endless series descriptions of who shot who.
They might make for fun popcorn summer action movies, but even Saving Private Ryan had a
pretty good story and interesting characters stuck between all the battle scenes.
Eisenhorn and Ravenor books on the other hand genuinely were great, though they were
kind of the same about "Guy wrote some pretty neat scifi, then put a 40k decorator
around it." Those are worth reading, but Gaunt's Ghosts is the boring pointless
schlock he was talking about.
