Great.  I'm travelling on business right now and am behind on posting
translated release notes.  I will try to get to that later tonight or
tomorrow afternoon, Eastern US time.

For release notes, FC5test1 _possibly_.  Certainly for FC5.  The release
notes should have a few days frozen in CVS before test releases, that
will give time to at least get started.  At worst case, translated
release notes for test releases come out a few days after the test is
available.

This is an advantage when it comes to the final release notes.  By that
time, >80% of the content will already be translated.

We can try out a new process anytime with other documents to be
translated.  That is something to discuss, if there is interest.

RELEASE-NOTES の翻訳 [Fwd: Re: zh_CN.po for IG done.]

関根です。

RELEASE-NOTES の翻訳ですが、今までは
plain text になっているものを訳してきました。

しかし、今回 FC4T3 → FC4 Release で大幅に変更があり、
元の DocBook から翻訳しないと辛い状況です。
もしかしたら、転送元の苦情(?)もここから来ているのかもしれません。

一応、DocBook 一式を
  http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DocsProject/CvsUsage
を見ながら取得しましたが、DocBook は心から嫌ってるので
作業速度は今までより遅くなると思います。

XML 一式を*暫定的に*以下に置きました。

  http://www.sdri.co.jp/~tsekine/fedora-docs/

一式取得して（と言いつつ、訳あって wget などの downloader
をはじいていますが）

  cd release-notes/FC4
  make -f Makefile.ja RELEASE-NOTES-ja.html

で RELEASE-NOTES-ja.html が生成できます。

これを upstream にマージするには、マージされる環境を作らなきゃならない
ので、そっちがまた大変だと思いますが…
