CVS question, concurrent translations

Hello, this is my question:
Recently, two of our translation team members (I and another member)
accidentaly worked on the same .po file. I didn't notice that he has
already "Take"n the file. Sometime after, I did a "cvs up" and our
translations didn't match. So I had some lines in the file which pointed
my version and his versio delimited by ">>>>> his trans ===== my trans
<<<<<<" and so on. It was hard to remove them manually, since a lot of
work has been done. I solved this by deleting the .po file and did a
"cvs up" again, which downloaded his version only. Is there a way to
overwrite my changes when updating using some cvs commands?

man & info pages

Hello, Red Hat team!
Does Red Hat internationalization/translation team plans to coordinate
translation of "man" and "info" pages
for packages related to Red Hat and Fedora distros.
I think it is good idea to coordinate translation of core packages like
RPM, BASH, KUDZU, NET-TOOLS.
At this moment we has good mechanism of translation, notification of
changes, team organization for user interface.
Existing translation teams can also provide good quality of "man" and
"info" pages.
The only dificulty I see is to organize this process of translations.

for commiting, use following
check your files ,so that there is no problem at update
msgfmt -cv np.po
then update to cvs
cvs up np.po
if is M status of your file, then you can commit that files
then
cvs commit -m 'message' np.po

Direct link to translation status page for my language?

I have a bookmark for the translation status page
(http://elvis.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-status). But I very rarely look
at the status for any other language than my own (Swedish). I figured
out that by adding "?locale=sv" to the URL, I could get the menu
preset to Swedish so I only had to press the button.
But pressing the button doesn't really add anything. I would prefer
to directly bookmark the status page itself but haven't figured out a
way to do that. Do I miss something, or isn't there a way to do that?

new package available for translation

Hi all,
There is a new package available for translation: system-switch-im. To
check out the po files, you can either re-check out the whole translate/
module, or change to your ~/translate/ directory and perform the
following command:
cvs co po_system-switch-im

New born mk.po has disappeared

I recieve this when I try to checkot a file.
[08:31:33][tome][~/fedora/translate] cvs co specspo/mk.po
cvs server: warning: new-born specspo/mk.po has disappeared
Anyone knows what this means?
