Dear Sarah,
we already have translated sr.po files for all the packages and they
are tied to the "Serbian" language on the status page (some are not
being built and shipped though, but that's already in bugzilla). So
that's all perfectly fine.
As Igor said, we need another set of sr(a)Latn.po files created for all
the packages and the current Serbian translators added to their ACL
as we need to support both scripts concurrently. Not sure if we need a
separate status page for these since they're always generated by a
script and will hopefully always have identical status. Can the CVS be
set up so that when a translator "takes" a module on the "Serbian"
page both of these locales get locked? If, on the other hand, you find
it necessary to create another language page, you can label it
"Serbian (Latin)" in the list. (I don't know how GNOME handles this,
but I couldn't see two separate "languages" on their status page,
while they support both locales; maybe you can check how they did it
in their CVS?)
I hope that clears things a bit, please feel free to ask us more
questions until we get this is completely clarified.

Watch out with system-config-netboot

Hi!
You'll notice that system-config-netboot is set to QA by a commit from
yesterday (21st December). The commit comment is:
"note to translators: system-config-netboot.desktop.in msgstrs appended
to .po files: please translate"
Unfortunately the translation of these new strings are set back to the
English text, for instance:
#: system-config-netboot.desktop.in:5
msgid "Configure network boot server."
msgstr "Configure network boot server."
This affects the last three strings in the file.

Georgian Fonts

Hello
Which fonts are used in anaconda/Fedora to displaying Georgian strings?
Symbols are almost unreadable. (!) Please send me a sample unicode
font and i will replace content with normal readable fonts and send it
back to you if it´s possible.

Serbian translation script addition request

Dear translation maintainers,
the Serbian translation team would like to request an addition of
another script for our translation. Both cyrillic and latin scripts
are in widespread use with Serbian speakers and we would like to
support both, with cyrillic being the official script, and therefore
the default one.
We therefore need to add sr(a)Latn.po files to the CVS tree asap
(hopefully to appear in FC5test2). Can I just create them and add them
through my CVS client, or would RH translation maintainers have to do
anything special? (I don't think we need a separate statistics and
status page on i18n.redhat.com as we are only maintaining the cyrillic
translation, with the latin one being generated by a script.)
Please advise on what is the best course of action.

Can anyone from RH, or otherwise knowledgeable in ways of the Fedora
CVS please comment? I guess I can't commit these until the ACL is
updated with the new locale (I'll presumably hit the same problem as
the previous poster)?
We're very keen to have this in asap so we can test the translation
out with FC5test2.

My friends, FYI, information below about the FC5 test2 schedule slip.
Sorry to all about the delay from the documentation side. We missed our
freeze last week. Fortunately, we now have more time to fix the
problems in our process and make our promise next time!
I am updating our documentation schedule this evening to reflect these

Ok, it won't be a full month, but due to the recent upgrade of gcc and
the subsequent full rebuild of everything that does (and doesn't,
whoops!) get built with gcc, including java stuff with gcj, and the need
to further test package selection windows in Anaconda,
system-config-packages for upgrades, and the development tree in general
once we settle down the rebuilds, we have decided to delay test2. Here
is a new schedule that we will be working toward:
* Test2 freeze date to 9 January
* Test2 release, 16 January
* Test3 freeze, 6 February
* Test3 release, 13 February
* Final absolute freeze, 6 March
* Release, 15 March
We are going to try very hard to have a stable(ish) tree suitable for
testing over the holidays, so that Test2 will be better for the slip and
keep us in line with getting Test3 and eventually the final release out
in the best shape possible.
Thank you all for your hard work in helping us develop the best
distribution we can!
