Hi All, There is a new module to be translated called "policycoreutils" in Fedora. Please follow the procedures to check out this new module. $ cd ~/cvs/translate (this folder might be different depending on your settings) $ cvs -z9 co po_policycoreutils After you pass the authentication, you'll find policycoreutils/ directory in your translate/ folder. Dutch translation team effort

Hello everyone, I'm trying to get all Dutch translators together in an effort to try and coordinate our work and to expand it to not just translating the software but also the documentation and the website. For this I've created a new page on the wiki[1] and asked new people to help[2]. I would like to ask all Dutch translators to add themselves to the wiki-page (if you don't know how, you may always mail me), in order that we can see the amount of active translators around nowadays. Just to let you know, we've also created a channel on freenode: #fedora-nl if you have any questions. clueluess with cvs

Hi,, I´m new. Signed up at the sign up and gave my key, etc. Trying to access the cvs, but I have absolutely no experience with cvs whatever (except the local drugstore chain). So I followed the instructions on the page indicated (https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2003-December/msg00001....). And then saw a long list of .po files go by in my terminal. But I haven´t the slightest idea what to do beyond that.... and the list was so long and went by so fast... Furthermore, I´ve never worked with po files, either. I yummed some gui tools for that, so, perhaps I´ll figure that out. I am an experienced translator (and interpreter), but have not worked with software localization at all (trying to cut my teeth here, really, to help my favorite OS, AND gain valuable experience...) I´ve been using Linux since RH7.0 and Fedora since FC1, but am nothing like a linux guru/expert, by any means. I downloaded some gui CVS tools, too. I have cervisia and lincvs. Maybe someone could clue me in on their use or something? Invitation to Fedora Documentation Translation

(This mail is is the result of a little discussion on #fedora-docs with BobJensen and MrTom) Hello everyone, Some of u my know me, some won't. I've been on this project for almost 2 years now, translating to Dutch. Recently I also signed up to the Fedora Documentation Project, to start translating the docs and release notes. But with FC6 coming up[1], I've seen that not to much has been translated there at the moment. We can count the number of translated release notes on one hand. FDP[2] and myself would like to see this expanded so a lot more languages get there own release notes in FC6. And because we are the translators of the programs, why can't we do the release notes as well? This is what we're good at, and wouldn't it be nice to open up Firefox on FC6 and be greeted with the release notes in your language! :) For those who think they'll have to learn something new, don't be worried, all translation is done by .po-files, as with program-translation. If you think you might be interested in helping out with the translation, feel free to drop by #fedora-docs or #fedora-l10n on Freenode[3] and/or read more about translating documentation on the wiki[4]. CVS access

I'm thinking this is a long time to CVS account to be approved. Is it normal?
