Hi all, the websites-team has enabled translations for the main static pages on fedoraproject.org These pages are mostly release specific and get launched on release day. You can get the pot file at http://git.fedoraproject.org/?p=hosted/fedora-web.git;a=tree;f=fedoraprojec… For the moment, we you're finished translating, you can send the po-file to ricky(a)fedoraproject.org We'll need to add create some policy for publishing to the website, b/c of the site being the entry point to the Fedora universe. And we wouldn't like to have a lot of errors on it, but spelling/grammar as keeping the HTML valid. Currently the idea is to use a similar system as we used for publishing to docs.fp.o, with the Publish Queue [1]. An alternative could be to create a ticket in the infrastructure-Trac instance [2] with some specific attributes. What ya think? IMPORTANT: Release Notes work

Last night I took copies of current PO and built the new fedora-release-notes-8.0.0-1 package for F-8. I also created branches in all the release notes component pieces (about-fedora, homepage, readme, readme-live-image, readme-burning-isos, release-notes) for F-8. Here's what you as a translator need to know: * The F-8 branch is where you should continue working to complete any translation you have left for these modules, to be included in the zero-day update for Fedora 8. * You are welcome to include these changes in the devel branch as well, and in fact this is probably a good idea. Eventually the devel branch is where we will start work for the F-9 release notes, around February or March 2008. * Remember that you can check out these branches directly. Release notes reminder

Hi all, just a reminder that if you want your translation of the release notes to get into the official release, your translation must be ready tomorrow at 23:59 UTC. (as in 90% done) If you can't make that mark, we'll issue an zero-day update for the release notes with new and updated translations on the day of release (and publishing to docs.fp.o).
