Possible problem with policycoreutils-gui translation packaging

Hello, Thought I'd check here first before actually filing the bug. There seems to be a problem with the translations available for policycoreutils-gui (system-config-selinux interface) in Fedora 11. A few parts still show up in English. The example for bn_IN is here: http://runab.fedorapeople.org/assorted-bugs/F11-policycoreutils.png A quick msgunfmt on the policycoreutils.mo files under /usr/share/locale/<lang-code>/LC_MESSAGES/ gives me widely varied translation status for a lot of languages with 100% completion[1]. Kannada (3 Translated) Assamese (503 Translated) Bengali India (651 Translated) Version checked: policycoreutils-gui-2.0.62-12.12.fc11.i586 Is there any bug for this or any reference to this issue? In some gnome-main-menu entries you have some terms, which are not translated because there is no proper portuguese translation for them and it's common to use the english word instead, you have 'Firewall' and 'Senha de Root' (root password). I think the '' signs don«t look very good in a menu like this, although I agree they can be used in general text. So my suggestion is to remove the '' signs from these menu entries. Thanks! Help with strange error in smolt.master-smoon.messages.po

Hi, In the file smolt.master-smoon.messages.po, in the line: #: hardware/templates/deviceclass.html:19 #, python-format msgid "% hosts detected ${type}" msgstr "% máquinas detectadas ${type}" I get this error: $ msgfmt -c smolt.master-smoon.messages.po smolt.master-smoon.messages.po:44: 'msgstr' is not a valid Python format string, unlike 'msgid'. Reason: In the directive number 1, the character 'm' is not a valid conversion specifier. I already tried: msgstr "máquinas detectadas ${type}" and msgstr "máquinas detectadas" with no results. Right now the strings is fuzzy (it's the last one). Does anybody understands what's going on? Thank You -- Rui Gouveia

Transifex "Pyro" v0.7 released!

Hey all. Here's a heads-up on the 0.7 release, which hopefully will be available on our servers. Not sure exactly when (Infra freezes and other bits), but hopefully soon. == Indifex and the Transifex Community are proud to announce the newest version of their flagship Open Translation Platform, Transifex 0.7 codenamed "Pyro". Transifex is a web application that gives translators a simple yet featureful web interface to manage translations for multiple remotely-hosted projects. Files to be translated can be translated straight from the user's browser or retrieved for offline translation, and various translation statistics can be read at a glance. The mysteriously missing Finnish translations for system-config-lvm

Hi, I was doing some Finnish translations for F12 today and I noticed system-config-lvm had no previous translations. I was quite certain I had translated it before, but indeed, there is no fi.po in the git repo and I can't find the CVS repo anymore. So I went into koji, downloaded a lot of source rpms for s-c-lvm and the newest package which had the Finnish translation was system-config-lvm-1.1.1-2.0.fc8. I have no idea what's happened, but the good news is, when I merged the current pot file with the old po file I only have about 20 new or changed messages to translate. I just wanted to let you all know about this in case you ever encounter a situation like this yourself. -- Ville-Pekka Vainio
