Yum translation policy?
by Adam Pribyl
I've submited full yum 3.2 branch translation to yum ticketing system
http://yum.baseurl.org/ticket/248
as per request in transifex, but the translation is still not included.
Does anybody know, what is the procedure for yum translation to get into
transifex? Is it possible to "lock" a translation in transifex for a
language, that is not listed in existing languages, to prevent anybody
else working on it?
Thanks

string freeze break?!
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi
I've been reported that some packages have still been updated everyday
basis.
Unfortunately there is no effective mean to track and handle those
automatically atm. But I do understand the pain.
For now, it is recommended to all translators to watch this list
carefully if any string freeze break is announced. In case you notice
any package update without announcement, please notify us in this list
so that a warning message can be sent to that maintainer.
Due to the bugs filed from our review, some packages may regenerate
their POT. The list of bugs can be found at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N/UpdatePot.

German translation of system-config-firewall
by Thomas Woerner
Hello,
as the maintainer of system-config-firewall, I have ongoing problems
with german translations in this tool.
In german there is no matching word for "trusted". The translation
"vertraut" means "familiar" or "close", but not "trusted"! In the german
language we are using "Trusted Computing" as a fixed term, because you
can not have a short term explaining it correctly. Therefore I am also
using "trusted" for services and interfaces.
Every few weeks some translators are replacing the word "trusted" with
"vertraut". Can you please stop doing this?
I would appreciate if you are changing all occurrences of "vertraut"
back to "trusted".
Thanks in advance,
Thomas
PS: Maybe also other languages are affected by this problem, but I can
not check that.

How to commit?
by Felix
Hi,
I have 2 questions on committing some files in Fedora 12.
First, In various resource module how to commit IBus and IMsetting. Is there any bug Id to commit the translation?
And the next is Virt-ctrl in Virtualization. In fedora 11 itself this file is not committed for some languages which were filed in bugzilla (Ref: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=493796). whether this time corresponding person 'll commit the translation?
Thanks.
Regards,
