Language Maintainer - Georgian (ka)
by George Machitidze
Hello
I want to be maintainer for Georgian language for Fedora. I've translated
part of utilities long time ago and want to continue contribution and
finish it. I'm active Fedora user and as a system administrator actively
using it in enterprise environment too. I'm following community activities,
updates, bugs etc, familiar with everything (almost everything, i think
so). I've got some time and want to use it :)
Thanks
Best regards,
George Machitidze

Spins website translation update for Beta
by Kévin Raymond
Hi translators,
We changed a bit our spins website architecture to be more easily maintainable
(thanks Robyduck!).
We had to do it quickly as we got a BZ report against some wrong ISO size..
As for the main fedora project website, the release is now in the beta branch,
at transifex under the spins-fedoraproject-org-beta ressource. The master one is
locked, it is going to keep the error until the Beta release, which is going to
be next Tuesday.
Only few strings changed.
Please let us know if you need to have the ISO architecture (32-bit or 64-bit)
on the translated string and not as a variable. It could depend on the language,
and we used to do it on the fedoraproject.org website for a year now, without
any bad report. If so, please open a ticket.
Proofreading could be done at spins.stg.fedoraproject.org
Cheers,

String comments for translators
by Andrew Price
Hi,
I'm currently adding comments to the strings in gfs2-utils which will
eventually appear in the translation template, e.g.
/* Translators: We use rpmatch(3) to match the answers to y/n
questions in the user's own language, so the [y/n] here must also be
translated to match one of the letters in the pattern printed by
`locale -k yesexpr` and one of the letters in the pattern printed by
`locale -k noexpr` */
printf( _("Are you sure you want to proceed? [y/n]"));
If possible I'd like to only add comments to just the ambiguous and
hard-to-translate strings. The above example was fairly obviously in
need of explanation (I think) but other strings are less obviously in
need of comments.
Do you have any guidelines or advice to help me identify which strings
will require comments before they can be translated?
Thanks,
Andy
