was4444, zh/Chinese
by xiaofeng
Hi, everyone!
I am wasphin or was444(this is my FAS ID), and now live in Wuhan, China.
My first-language, of course, is Chinese. And I learn/use English as a
foreign-language. Now a student of CCNU.
I used Fedora for about two years, and I like it's simple and beautiful.
This time, I want to do something for it.

im-chooser: string freeze breakage
by Akira TAGOH
Hi,
In advance, I apologize sending this kind of email. it may
be too late at this point but the latest translations seems
not reflecting to the server.
The change is only one translation. I hope it doesn't hurt
to update.

Language List in gnome-control-center
by Alam
hi
gnome-control-center has limited set of language in Region and
Language -> Language
( British English, Chinese (simplified), English, Spanish)
Developer mention [1]:
"It shows a small selection of possible languages. You'll get more languages by
pressing the '+' button. The languages were chosen by Westerners as popular
choices, they cover parts of Western Europe, North America, South America, and
very large chunks of Africa."
anybody has suggestion for it "how language should be chosen"?

The list of Fedora child projects on Transifex is such a long one
by Cheng-Chia Tseng
Recently, the list of child projects for a language has become such a
verbose one.
We cannot easily identify which projects are Fedora centric ones,
which are upstream projects, and which are Websites, Docs, Red Hat,
etc.
Plus, the "Show resources from:" dropdown filter is not useful because
it lists all of the projects instead of categories.
It is so much inconvenient for translators to pick up those projects
we want to emphasize on recently, mostly fedora centric ones, such as
ABRT, Anaconda, system-config tools...
Furthermore, if I use "Last update" to sort the projects, I will be
returned to a list sorted by progress after I click on child project
and goes back.
I have to sort it again to search for the next one below which I have
just translated, and keep waiting Transifex to give me a new list.
It is none sense to let translators keep searching and waiting the
listed child projects every time they want to translate.
To be frankly, the old infrastructure fedora hosted which categorized
well is more easy to help us translate fedora.
I am so amazed by this new feature.

passwd
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi transifex team,
While testing passwd, I encountered one string not localized which is
not in PO file on transifex. The bug is filed [1], and then it is found
that there is another module to translate for passwd, PWQuality library[2].
This is not in fedora main or fedora upstream while passwd is in fedora
main.
Can you guys please include PWQuality library in fedora main?
Or should I contact the maintainer?
