Join us on irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting for the Fedora 24 Beta
Release Readiness Meeting meeting.
The meeting is going to be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 19:00 UTC.
Please check the [FedoCal] link for your time zone.
We will meet to make sure we are coordinated and ready for the Beta
release of Fedora 24 on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016. Please note that this
meeting is going to be held even if the release is delayed at the
Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours earlier.
You may received this message several times, but this meeting is open
to all teams and I'll also hope this will raise awareness and more
team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting works
best when we have representatives from all of the teams.
More information available at [RRM] link.

Hi there,
Can you please add
https://fedora.zanata.org/iteration/view/asknot-ng/1.0 to
https://fedora.zanata.org/version-group/view/web/projects ?
This project is used to translate http://whatcanidoforfedora.org
By the way, this project progress is 2.8 %, it's far worse than any
other website :
* 100% for Catalan, the other languages are far behind ;)
* translated / fuzzy / untranslated : 4005 / 652 / 138030
Bonuses :
* close 0.1 branch if unused
* change project or document name would be easier for newcomers
(having same rules of fedora websites would be perfect)
Thanks a lot,

Hi All,
One important topic we are discussing from DevConf is vFAD. We have very
less time around, say 2/3 weeks to get things done for vFAD. (Translation
freeze 5th April 2015)
I have created initial Wiki page for vFAD, few more edits from Ani. [1]
This page is mostly from planning side. Feel free to correct/extend it with
more information.
As you can see from Wiki, we have different tasks and different
expertise contribution is required. Please add your name in part you can
help. Then later we can discuss in small group how to execute it.
If we can get small groups by Friday. Next week we can start working on
completing prerequisite list.
Lets collaborate and make it big success :)
Regards,
Pravin Satpute

Out of the six billion people in the world, only 339 million have English as a first language. The importance of English in global business increases the number of English speakers, but the people learning are taking English on as a second language. A notable number of users prefer products in their own language. In the Fedora Globalization (G11n) group, we are making this happen. The efforts are huge, and kudos to all our contributors. If you are a non-English user in Fedora and want to help improve translations in your native language, this is your time to contribute! A virtual Fedora translation sprint is coming up soon for Fedora 24 GUI applications.
Although it is a virtual event, if there are more contributors at a single location, they can gather together at an available place and work together. If any Ambassadors have this plan, please contact the G11n list with your requirements.
The translation sprint is happening according to the Fedora 24 schedule. There is a good chance to get your own contributions into Fedora 24!
So what are you waiting for? The vFAD is starting from April 1 – 5, 2016. Not sure how to contribute? Have a look at our new article published on the CommBlog.> https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/translate-fedora-24-in-your-languag…
Thanks :)

Bug ID: 1193258
Summary: L10N wiki pages seem to all still refer to transifex
Product: Fedora Localization
Component: l10n-requests
Assignee: dimitris(a)glezos.com
Reporter: rbean(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: aalam(a)redhat.com
CC: diegobz(a)gmail.com, dimitris(a)glezos.com,
fedora(a)couf.be, piotrdrag(a)gmail.com,
trans(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
It is my understanding that we have moved from transifex to zanata. Correct?
Lots of the L10N pages still point to transifex and it would help for
onboarding new contributors if they pointed instead to zanata.
For instance, this one is laden with references:

Hi All,
Time to test Fedora 24 internationalization features/changes and make
sure basic things work as expected.
Visit Wiki page [1] to execute test day.
Though we are saying test day, normally we keep this open over the week,
so it f you cant make it today, feel free to continue during other days.
Thanks,
Pravin Satpute

Hi translators
blivet-gui has now been moved to fedora.zanata.org.
I've asked about the deadline and below the answer :-)

Ok, I've finished moving blivet-gui to fedora.zanata.org --
https://fedora.zanata.org/project/view/blivet-gui
I plan to release at least one new version of blivet-gui before Fedora
24 Beta release and I update translations for every release so the
deadline isn't that important for blivet-gui.
