Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee

Hi All, I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6 year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective. During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track. For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for it. [2] Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members, discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with active participation. How is release notes's translation polocy in the future?

Looking at Zanata 's Fedora Release Notes, there are only translations of Release notes up to f25. Also, even if I look at the release notes page, I can not find other languages (not English ) links. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/f27/release-notes/index.html It does not mean that "f26 or later is not yet translated although there is f26 at this place" , but the page itself for translation after f26 can not be found in the zanata's place. https://fedora.zanata.org/project/view/fedora-release-notes?dswid=3380 Is this policy that the Fedora community will never translate release notes in the future? Or is the community just forgetting to add a translation function with release notes?

About me: I've worked on the translation for the Rust website (rust-lang.org) I also tried to help with a project by another distro in the past, but their translation system was very difficult to work with, as often we'd get to translate a single word (e.g. "love", "a", "in") without any context - which can have several meanings - and spending 5 minutes on the website to find such context before submitting a translation was quite unproductive and demotivating. Haven't done anything public beyond that. Although my main interest is in software development, I embrace the idea of having software localized in one's native tongue, and is also an opportunity to sharpen my language skills. Me and the Fedora Project: I'd be interested in contributing with code or something related to programming in the future, as that's what I like to do.
