My name is Takuro Nagamoto. I am a Japanese translator at Red Hat, based in Brisbane, Australia.
I just wanted to let you know that I took over a coordinator role for Fedora Japanese translation from Noriko, who left Red Hat in January (greatly missed).
Hope to contribute to the Fedora Japanese translation team as a coordinator/translator/reviewer (I already have those privileges granted on zanata).
We are going to have a short meeting on #fedora-g11n in 15min. Agenda is
only T-shirt for contributors who contributed over 500 words in 2016.
We are almost in last stage of it, if anyone available feel free to jump
Apologies for short notice,
Dear translation teams, we can now translate the Fedora Cheat Cube svg.
What are these cube? It's a marketing material for boots. It's a paper
cube with a lot of useful fedora commands & information.
You can see some examples here:
It also is a good example about how to make svg file translatable using
Why not translating directly the svg file? To ease translation
maintenance and gives translation memory support.
Is it magic? Nope, a cube is very space limited, you may have to make
some adjustments to make it fit.
Here is the Zanata project:
Here is the repo:
Special thanks to Nobrakal who updated the cubes and helped me to set

Reminder: the new content for F26 will be live tomorrow.
Until then, you can see content in staging websites, just put a stg.
before the fedoraproject.org domain
stg.getfedora.org, or spins.stg.fedoraproject.org, etc. It's updated
every hours with translations.
Where are we now ?
done: cs, fr, ca, pl, sk, hu, nl
<100 words: es, uk, sv, pt-BR, de, zh-CN, it
<1000 words: ru, fi, sq, bg
labs.fedoraproject.org (f26 brings Python Classroom):
done: cs, fr, ca, pl
<100 words: es, uk
<1000 words: sv, pt-BR
spins.fedoraproject.org (f26 brings ):
done: cs, fr, ca, pl
<100 words: none
<1000 words: es, uk, sv, pt-BR
Keep up the good work!
as usual we just entered a translation freeze for the following websites:
This means we won't pull any strings to production until F26 release
date, but you will be able to check your strings you are working on,
in the staging instances. Staging websites are not affected by this
For any questions feel free to ask replying to this email, and thank
you for all your hard work.
